
The Diploma of Beauty Therapy course has been designed as a high level qualification for those wishing to operate as a beauty therapist, employing staff and managing a beauty salon. The course allows students to learn the latest beauty industry techniques. It combines theory and practice on all aspects of beauty therapy, including specialised spa treatments and cutting edge beauty therapy skills. Graduates from this course emerge confident and knowledgable about the beauty industry, with plenty of real-world salon experience. The qualification of Diploma of Beauty Therapy is issued to students after completion of the course. If partial completion is achieved by a student, a Statement of Attainment (achievement) is issued.
Full Time Option
The full time Diploma of Beauty Therapy course runs for eight (8) months (or equivalent) including scheduled holidays (exact holiday dates will be confirmed prior to course commencement). The full time course is run three (3) days per week from 9am to 5pm, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday only.
Part Time Option
Part time options are available one day a week from 9am to 5pm. Part time courses run for one (1) year. Part time students can also choose to study two nights a week from 6pm to 9pm. Note that part time students studying at night must attend both evening sessions.

The course costs $10,000 for eight (8) months full time (or equivalent). This includes uniforms and all texts.
We now offer payment plans, payable monthly throughout the duration of the course. Alternately, if you choose to pay your course fees upfront, you'll receive a 5% discount.
Students must also complete the Massage and Spa specialisation stream. Note that if you wish to specialise in electrolysis, you must do this via one of our short courses on completion of your Diploma course.
The Diploma of Beauty Therapy (WRB50105) is structured in line with the National Beauty Training Package. It is the highest national beauty qualification available.
Note that all units can be purchased individually as special interest subjects. However, some units may require the completion of prerequisites. For more information on start dates, fees and prerequisites please contact the Academy.
Local students should have completed Year 10 (or equivalent). Applicants who have not completed Year 10 (or equivalent) should include with their application form all relevant information about their interests, studies and experience that supports their application.
Successful graduates from the Diploma of Beauty Therapy course have many attractive career options. Possibilities include: Owning, operating or managing a beauty salon; working at a day spa or health retreat; working internationally as a beauty therapist; working as a sales representative or area manager; and working in product development training.
